Unexpected Marriage 😂😂, imagine how blessed you will be if you bless me with a follow 🙏🙏

 Yesterday my mother went on a business trip. My father was away at work too. My younger brother has gone to school after half-term break.

“I'm going out for three days,” my mother said as she left. “Make sure you stay with the house help well.”

“Yes Mum,” I replied gladly. “Have a safe journey,” I said, further escorting her. She could see the happiness in me, so she stopped before getting in her car. 

“I can see your happiness,” she said and became silent as we looked at each other for a while. “Make sure you behave.” Then off she went. I returned to the house overjoyed. The house help, a pretty young lady called Cate, had just finished mopping the house and was wiping the corridor outside. I looked at her as she did it, and my mind went wild. My eyes stared at her fixedly, as I stood right behind her, wanting to take the step forward but hesitating. She then bent down to wipe the last bit of the floor. Oh my GOD! I dropped a lamp of saliva on my chest as I gazed at her. I then wiped it quickly, and she looked behind just in time to see me wiping it. 

“Uhm! Hi!” She looked at me speechless. “Ah, I'm sorry, did I interrupt you?” She was still silent. She then left me all alone and went inside the house. I knew Cate to be a friendly girl. We used to get along well whenever mum was around. After a few minutes, she came out with a bundle of clothes to wash. As she bent on the water tap washing, I tiptoed towards her and tickled her. 

“Ouch!” She exclaimed, backing off and looking at me. I smiled at her, loving the way she did it and liking her voice for the first time since the time she had come to our house. “Stop it!” She added. I smiled more and for the briefest of seconds, our eyes held in contact, then she averted her gaze elsewhere biting her lower lip. I held her hand and guided her to the house. She seemed stubborn at first, but I managed to convince her by my smile. When we got inside the house, she was still smiling and biting her lower lip. 

“What?” She whispered sweetly. 

“No,” I shouted loudly in my mind. This beautiful woman like this did not deserve to do any work. So I took a plastic chair and went with it outside. I called her to sit on it and watch me help her wash the clothes. She kept watching me without looking aside. When I was done with the washing, I held her hand, guided her to the kitchen and carried the seat. I placed it in front of the sink and began washing the utensils. When I was done, she laughed loudly. 

“Why are you laughing?” I asked surprised. However, she continued laughing but lowered her voice. “Is she obsessed with me already?” I wondered. I smiled at her, but that did not stop her laughter. So I washed my hands, wiped them and stood to look at her. She now stopped laughing and was smiling. 

Suddenly, I heard claps in the sitting room. When I was still wondering what was going on, Cate rose up clapping too and went to the sitting room. I was surprised, hence I followed her to the sitting room. To my surprise, I did not find anyone apart from Cate. 

“What's going on Cate?” I asked her who was still clapping and smiling. Suddenly, the door flew open and my mother entered clapping. As I struggled to understand the events, my father entered too carrying something wrapped like a gift. As I wiped my eyes to confirm whether I was dreaming, my younger brother entered too!😂😂. They all looked at me, happiness spread on the faces and clapping. They finished clapping at the same time as if they had practiced it earlier.

“Well, son!” My father said, “Today is a very big day for us. You have been a bachelor for quite some time, and we have seen how you have behaved towards Cate here.” I was in shock looking at my father. My facial expression was a mixture of emotions.😂😂. “Don't look at me that way, Cate here has always loved you, so the floor is yours.” I was silent for a while. I looked at my mother wondering. However, she smiled at me, urging me to believe what father had said. My younger brother was there looking at me. From his look, I could hear him telling me to do it quickly, and maybe wishing it could be him. 

“Go on!” My mother said, “Cheza kama wewe!😂” I turned to look at Cate, she was there smiling. 

“You don't know where to start?” My father asked lightly. When I was still silent, he unwrapped the box he was carrying and removed a smaller box and out came a ring. “Take this, I want you,” there was silence, “we actually want you to propose to her!” 😂😂 He then stretched his hand to give me the ring. The silence that came within the house nearly killed me. What about the embarrassment? I could not hold it. I thought of running quickly outside the house, but my younger brother stood at the door and would later laugh at me for lacking the confidence to propose to a cute girl like Cate. 

At last, there was no other option. After a long moment of silence and exchanging glances with my parents and Cate, I finally managed to propose to her.
