"Check me... I'm single... Touching her... kiss🥵🥵🥵😂😂😂

 

I had invited my girlfriend Cate for a date at Green Park Hotel. I wanted to introduce her to my friends, among them being Jack who owned the hotel. So that day, I dressed to kill 😂🌹 and took a taxi to the hotel. 

When I arrived, everything was set. Flowers 🌹 🌼, balloons 🎈🎈 and ribbons 🎀🎗️ were all over. I could not help but smile. I then sat on my reserved seat waiting for her. As I waited, some music played in the background. 

I invited you, but you did not come,

Now you, and I seem to be far apart…

The song sang. It seemed strange but I did not worry about it. Half an hour passed and she had not come. Whenever any lady appeared, my eyes lit up thinking that it was Cate. I looked at my watch. One hour had passed and she had not come. So I decided to call her. 

“There is so much heavy traffic ⛔, please bear with me. I'm coming.” She complained. 

“It's okay.” I replied and kept my cool. I ordered a drink to keep me busy while waiting. The drink got finished even as I tried to drink it as slowly as possible 😭 😂. 

“Where is this girl?” I thought. I then received a text from her. 

I'll be there shortly. My mother has just been admitted and thus I'm in the hospital.

I was shocked. Why did that have to happen during our date? So I called her. 

“Hey my love,” I said, “I'm so sorry. What hospital is that?” 

“Don't worry, she will be fine.” She replied urgently, “I will finish and get back to you!” The tone in her voice seemed like she was in serious pain. I was shocked. 

“Babe, are you okay?” She was silent. “My love, are you okay? Where are you?” I asked persistently but she hang up the phone. I was now shocked. “What is wrong with Cate?” I wondered. I looked at my peers as they talked with their girlfriends while taking drinks. I envied them. Jack came to me teasing. 

“Bro, she has not yet arrived?” He asked me.

“Apparently, her mother has been admitted to the hospital with a minor case, according to her.” I replied. 

“Do you know what hospital she has been admitted to?” He asked. 

“She has not told me!” I replied. 

“I doubt!” He said.

“You doubt what?” I asked shocked, “No, Cate cannot cheat on me!” I silenced him. 

“Well, you're the one saying so!” He said leaving. As I sat there holding my phone, Jack's words rang several times in my mind. 

“Could it be that she is cheating on me?” I thought. I then ordered another drink and decided to call her. Her phone did not go through. So the drink was brought, I drank it all alone. I saw other girls who sat near me also alone. Some were beautiful, but my manners did not allow me to talk to them. I did not want to cheat on my girlfriend Cate. 😂😂. Little did I know… 😜 

“Check on me I'm single,” one girl said touching her breast🥵🥵😂, “I mean what don't I have.” She then walked to where I was seating bent down to kiss me on the cheek. I felt her kiss, sweet and warm. She then sat before me facing me.

“I…” I said before she interrupted. 

“You're dating? That's what you want to say?” She interrupted. “You've waited for her like for an hour now. I've been observing you. So, she's probably with another one, baby!” Maybe she was right. So I decided to give it a try. I touched her hand. Then suddenly, a lady with a pink dress, white heels entered. The dress resembled the one I had bought for Cate for our date. I was shocked. I backed away from my seat, happy to receive her and also trying to escape from the agony of being caught cheating 🥵🌹. 

Suddenly, my phone rang. I quickly picked it up without checking the number. 

“Hello Mr. Jack!” The caller, who was a man, asked. I did not reply, since I wasn't Mr. Jack. Before I told him anything, he continued, “Your wife Cate has just died while trying to abort her pregnancy 😳 😳 😭!!!!! 🧑‍🦽🥵🧑‍🦽🥵 Before I could understand anything properly, the phone was hang up. I looked at the lady I had gone to receive, she was not Cate. Suddenly, I felt a cold slap on my back and when I checked, a man glared at me angrily then hugged the lady who had just entered. As I struggled to understand further, Jack came towards me running in shock…
