Cate lost it eventually!!!! 😳😳😭😭😂See how it happened!!😳🤷

I had just come from school and found no one at home. I went quickly to the kitchen to see whether there was any food. I was so hungry, having just completed the exams that we were doing at school.

The dishes were washed nicely and arranged well in their place. I was shocked wondering why Cate did not prepare food for me. So I went to my room feeling distraught. When I opened the door, I found a dish on my study table. A smile spread on my face as I went to open it. To my delight, I found my favorite dish: rice with chicken 🍗 🐔 😃😃. I could not wait to change my school clothes. I began feasting on it ravenously.

When I was done, I changed my clothes quickly and ran to the living room to watch my favorite show on T.V. I watched for five minutes and I was bored. So I locked the door from inside and went to sleep. Minutes later, I heard the door being opened and someone getting in. Before I could ask who it was, I heard a girl's voice. I was shocked. 

“So this is your home!” the girl asked. 

“What my love!” There was silence. “My house Babe!” Fresh laughter spread across the room. I nearly laughed from my own bed hearing that my brother Mike was using our house to win the trust of a girl. I heard their footsteps going towards his bedroom. I was nervous.

“Should I say something?” I thought. I decided to stay silent. So I got up from bed and tiptoed towards his room. As I opened my door, I saw Mike tiptoeing going toward the living room. He laughed loudly when he saw me. 

“SAM! You are home already?” He asked surprised. “I never expected that you would be home.” I did not answer him, instead, I looked in his room's direction and started walking toward it. “Well, where are you going?” He was shocked but pretended to hide it as much as he could. I did not answer. He quickly walked towards me and blocked me at the door. 

“Let me pass!” I said. 

“What do you want? Food? I left your food in your room. Didn't you find it?” He replied. 

“I said let me pass!” I shouted terrifying him. He gathered courage and went on with the conversation. 

“What is it now bro? What do you want from my room?” I looked at him with a wide angry eye, and I saw him step aside and open the door for me. So I got in, curious to see the girl who had snatched my brother's heart. However, there was nobody. 

“So she is hiding in this house?” I turned to Mike. 

“Who? I mean… what are you talking about?” He asked. I noticed how he had begun shivering vigorously. I could not believe that as young as I was, I could manage to terrify him that much. Maybe he feared my mother, who on several occasions had scolded him for bad misconduct and his irresponsible relationships with several girls. 

“So you did not hear what Mum told you?” He was speechless. At that time, the very own girl we were talking about came out of hiding shocked. 

“What! Did you just say, Mum?” She looked at me and turned her gaze to Mike. 

“Yes! I heard him lie to you that this is his house! I nearly laughed during that time, but I decided to be silent to hear where all this would end up.” 

“Mike start talking!” The girl now looked at Mike angrily. She even held the collar of his shirt and began slapping him mercilessly. Mike did nothing but stare at her with no words to explain it. However, I noticed him eyeing me strangely. I did not understand why he did so. 

“What? Explain to her now?” 

“You mean Mike you don't have a house?” The girl asked.

“I'm sorry Babe! But I will build mine soon. You never know what the future…” 

“Stop Mike!” She interrupted rudely, “I know where this is going. You want to give me motivational quotes that I should accept being married by the broke you.” I remained silent and shocked at the same time. “I already told you that I can't get married to someone without a good decent house. I need money, I need to live in a place where I can call my friends for a dinner party and they have a place to sleep. You're not the best one for me! You're not even man enough!” Mike's eyes lit up with shock. 

“Babe, it's me you're talking to like that!” Mike asked. 

“Don't call me your babe! I'm Cate, okay!” The girl said angrily. 

“Babe, but we can talk about this?” Mike insisted. 

“There is nothing to talk about. And, I'm leaving. I can't do this anymore!” She said that, picked up his handbag on the bed, and walked away. 

“And where do you think you're going?” My mother's voice stopped her while she was in the living room. Mike nearly froze in his position. The girl looked at Mum shocked. 

“So Mike, this is your other…” 

“Stop!” I interrupted her angrily. “Don't dare speak to my Mum like that!” Seconds later and as we stared at each other, the door was opened and Dad entered clapping. I was still shocked at what was happening. 

“Mike, now you see the girl you wanted to marry.” Dad said, “You see why your Mum here, and I wanted you to be extra careful.” The girl looked at my parents shocked. She then looked at Mike, who was equally shocked as he nodded in agreement with Dad. I did not know anything about this, so I just nodded to support my family. 

“Yes, Dad!” Mike replied. “Cate is not the right woman for me!” The girl, who by now I have known was called Cate, now looked at Mike emotionally, tears rolling down her face. 

“All this drama was a setup.” Mum said, “We wanted to see whether you can any eventuality that can happen in your partner's life. We wanted to see whether you would be polite and understanding while communicating with your husband. We wanted to see many things in you. And now, I guess we have the answers, right SAM!” 

“Yes mother,” I nodded in agreement. “Though I knew nothing about it, I believe I just played my part well.” 

“Yes son,” Dad said patting me on the back. “We knew that you would behave just the way you have behaved.” By that time, Cate was on her knees before Mike, tears welling up in her eyes when he heard that my father was the C.E.O. of Safaricom, the leading telecommunication company in Kenya. 

There was no point of forgiveness though, so Mike drove Cate to her home and they parted ways!!!!.😳😳 Sure, let's not be quick to confront others. 😃😃😃
